  1. Well the logic is to give away power to more corporate lobbyists who were formerly the people themselves? What difference is there between the corporate and the people really? Your idea of a free market may work for a single person but the competition mentioned only causes more problems than actually collectively work for betterment, the government is inefficient because the people working in the government are incompetent or work with corruption and trying to seize power, the corporate elements are no different from the mafia which ironically was created from the average person gaining power and climbing up the ladder, the idea of a free market can work only if the government allows enough control over resources instead of having people who will look for their own interests and seek power, the problem is corruption overall and the handling of power which happens in both people and the government, let's say a person who has a small business and eventually grows it into a bigger one and in that self preservation tries desperate measures to prevent competition from others who want that same status and this leads to infighting and even smaller underlings working under them are considered casualties, the mafia system is no different from the corporate system but instead of gaining resources through monopoly they use brute force or other factors and even try legalising their businesses, the arguments for a free market is understandable but even among people there are bad eggs which will try sinking other businesses to gain power to the top and the nature of competition itself which does involve violence will be harmful overall, and added the fact that corporate practices involve absolute control and revision over the rules they provide leads to even more problems like healthcare being privatisated which is worsening the conditions of the people seek healthcare, the current system that China or Russia i believe has is a hybrid system i believe where companies are present but are controlled by the state and don't have full control over their businesses, if they were US led systems they wouldn't have functioned well especially when for example cloud companies companies can revise rules around surveillance and the government will be unable to gain access to a costumers information if a customer has a criminal record or is endangering others and this leads to a loophole where some companies are more reluctant and massive lawsuits take place over them, the autonomy that businesses have is dangerous if not handled well and rogue companies have been an issue overall especially when it comes to healthcare again where corporate practices of reducing basic food and water needs is seen, the issue with capitalism is the fact that even if people do gain power some use it for malice and to get to the top like Amazon which still has human rights issues with how workers are treated and this reckless power distribution where there are thousands if not millions of companies where some end up rogue is a major issue which the ordinary people are suffering from, problems with communism is also understood well as the wealth is concentrated to the state and people get sufficient pay to their hard work accordingly but at least it will be less likely that problems will occur with such a system if managed well, it's all upon numbers and how much people are likely to face problems under respective systems and the way i see it in capitalism resource distribution comes at the cost of fewer people as most people will have enough resources if the government were to fail but also creates the problem of one person gaining more and more resources till they gain power which they can have full autonomy over their company and the people working under it via their work hours etc which companies have exploited in the past, i argue with communism if damages are caused it will be a big dent for sure but will fix things up if enough attention is given to it, compared to companies which if damaged can go under dragging the people who worked under it too, it's all upon the people whether they choose to have a big dent if some problems arises (communism) or to have smaller holes which eventually grows big (capitalism), under communism there will be less autonomy but also less risks compared to capitalism which has more autonomy but higher risks which could be devastating or be benefiting but playing on a balance here, i rather prefer a hybrid system which takes i to account how resources are managed and compared to the past system which didn't allow any research on how things could be managed due to corruption which should be curbed the newer system could look to how they can incorporate elements of both systems and apply those which are beneficial instead of being one sided and out of a lack of understanding cause even more issues, whatever the system there should be a unbiased research put forth as to avoid interference

  3.  @tonypeterson5316   the thing is back in the day the US had backed up the Republic of China and not the Chinese communist party where they had relocated to Taiwan after suffering the defeat in the civil war between western backed Republic of China and Chinese communist party backed by Russia, so the period you mentioned of the west trying to integrate China into their international market was specifically due to competition against other South Asian countries like Vietnam and Korea which the US failed on the war and it happened around in the 70s too where Asian countries were just starting to industrialise, Russia did have border disputes but mostly with the western backed forces of the ROC, the trade relations between both countries were in a positive light especially with many of the Chinese military technology was inspired and reverse engineered from the Soviet Union, in the cold war many countries started playing both sides as to survive amongst both superpowers and China eventually gained nuclear capabilities in the 70s with the help of Soviet Union, the west only had better relations with countries from the far East like Japan, South Korea, Phillipines and other nations from the Oceania continent like Australia and the remaining islands and only in the late 90s after the Soviet Union collapsed is where China started trade relations with the west as they themselves were in a compromising position after the Great famine in the 70s, it is surprising that China still wasn't subjugated like Phillipines and other east Asian countries where the US started militarizing and posting military bases and conducting nuclear tests on foreign soil and then sugarcoating it as to blame Russia and China when they conducted tests for their own defence as to now allow western hegemony
