Think of it as an achievement you are trying to do in life, every person wants to achieve something in life to have that satisfaction which they crave in for and we all aren't made for big achievements and it could even be small things too not all of us don't get what we want in life and that want is something that is a scary thing especially when it cultivates into the minds of people especially the west which has been driven into this for centuries at this point, and it's also overall for survival too as survival of their future generations which they hope they will inherit and continue on the culture they leave behind, and those powerful are afraid their culture will fade away and mixed with others around the world and really this is what is causing wars and suffering on either sides, no one wants their culture to be eradicated by another and this also develops into an obsession with their culture or way of life wanting to preserve it

I do agree not just drug addiction, addiction with anything overall like porn, food, alcohol or various other aspects in life people crave onto and this can only be done if people are given enough knowledge about these things and educated about addiction and how drugs affect and what are the consequences, same thing with alcohol which people still fail to understand causes more deaths than any of the drugs combined and none actually bother to fix it, if people in society have a better understanding of things they consume maybe we won't have problems and things can be regulated better as to avoid any malpractices done by people and their are also many other reasons to addiction like low morale or unfortunate events happening in life or quality of life being poor as many people in addiction often are poor or uneducated and often unemployed with society considering them as rejects instead of providing support and employment which they actually need instead of charities which only oligarchs gain profits from as ways to avoid taxes and embezzlement

@jamesmurphy9426 i do agree with this fact, recreational uses are also something people often don't take into account and really many do it for different reasons like either to escape their economic situation as to remain in dreamworld or for overall enjoyment which with good intentions is positive as to alleviate stresses in life and often experimental aspects also come in especially with many doing it also for fun reasons and out of curiosity, addiction can only be reduced if people are given sufficient knowledge about the drugs or a basic understanding of how drugs affect the human body and how much it's lethal and how much is safer for consumption and research on these drugs is something that needs to be done as to understand how it can be used for scientific purposes and overall development, the issue of drugs overall is lack of knowledge and it is very important that people often tend to forget, even different poisons taken on low dosages can be beneficial to the human body and it's something that we should help develop instead of shunning something and declaring it as evil but allowing other drugs like alcohol be recklessly consumed causing millions of deaths, really we can't be allowed to have nice things in that regard especially when corporate lobbyists will not like their money being spent on improving peoples lives instead of it going in their bank accounts and them living off the blood of others

@lefty4letty escapism is one factor which leads to addiction but also that fun factor is something people don't take into account, economic situation of people is another factor but i seen even people from good families do recreational drugs and they often refer it as a fun thing like drinking whiskey or other consumption and they are often well versed in the knowledge of the drugs and dosages and how much can be lethal, knowledge of these drugs is important which often gets tossed aside and they are demonised by the public without even considering any practical applications of such drugs and how its consumed safer, rules should be put up for all consumables which affect the human body in some drastic manner which of course the government doesn't bother to as making money off peoples misery is a good base for profit

Basically it's like having private henchmen work as drug peddlers while you give them immunity, the west literally steals all the natural resources from poor nations like Mexico by having illegal cartel businesses work in specific areas to grow cocaina leaves from Mexican soil and then process it into cocaine and sell it to the west which the so called savior of US DEA one of the most corrupt institutions on the world seizes all the drugs and money from cartel members using them as a disposable tool to gain billions to keep those rich oligarchs working in DEA offices happy while they stole billions of resources i.e drugs from Mexico seized and not returned to the country, it's quite obvious the war on drugs is nothing but soft power imperialism trying to justify stealing natural resources from poor communities and leaving the agricultural lands of those nations barren which the cartel members i.e private businesses create excess of the same product which leads to other agricultural lands having shortages for the country to remain poor with them having no sufficient food supply due to majority of their lands used up, the Americans justify seizing up all the hard work their cartel members did while having them steal from Mexico their own country and gaining billions from this, really its not a war on drugs it's a war on Mexico and it's people and other countries which US uses their natural resources by having proxies take up land and use them up with no actual required resources for the poor

@tuckerbugeater compared to US waging war on foreign nations and installing dictatorship serving US interests while they justify invading the country due to their proxy now serving their own interests, forcing Russia and China away from the rest of the world and cutting off contact from them which leads to these countries making reckless decisions having zero knowledge which the west stole/deprived from them in the first place leading to the countries cannibalizing themselves to get to where they are compared to the west eating other nations, I'm pretty sure the west didn't even allow these countries to practice communism by depriving them contact from the rest of the world let alone wanting them to develop into a sustainable economy

@Anonymous------ basically WW1 is culmination of centuries imperialism where colonizing nations like Britain and Germany who used to colonise various third world continents like Africa or Asia came in confrontation against each other for land and resources from poor nations as well a king after oppressing other nations finds an equal match and this culmination had been building up for decades until they found a reason to fight against each other via small proxy countries i.e Austria and Serbia with the assassination being a spark in flaming the war, many conflicts of European countries against each other like British, Portuguese and French colonies came to be and Germany being a new competitor waged war as to be at the top wanting to replace Britain and you know what happened later on with ww2 being just a continuation of the same thing with no difference but Britain being tired of the conflict and America taking over it's place, Germany already exhausted itself with WW1 so America took over and Russia too which Russia already was powerful since the 18th - 19th century and now brought down in the late 20th century by so called "American" ideals which drove corrupt Russian officials to split for money of course, similar thing which happened to Germany which the US did with corporate lobbyists in Nazi Germany seeing the results of their leader, it's obvious US now wants to get rid of all the competition as to be at the top and already won over the world with their culture being everywhere across the world and many countries not even following their own culture especially among the youth who are lured in, ofc now China and Russia wanting to stop this from happening are demonised by their own people with how they survived while praising US culture as perfect with no flaws despite far from it, culture affects a country more than anything in modern times and it's especially true with how people in poorer countries are demotivated with their own culture and want to follow what's popular without thinking about any flaws in that culture, the US empire thrives off other poorer nations while have no blood on their hands while having others do the dirty work while countries like China or Russia having no knowledge from the rest of the world thrived off via cannibalism of their economy trying to adopt a system which was supposed to be beneficial for the people but lacked resources or technology to bring that system into working and also the rest of the world supportive of western culture depriving these countries of trade and knowledge, in the past we never would have learnt anything about these countries or their culture with how the American public living off the so called "American dream" ignorant of the horrors their oligarchs commited to keep them in their safe zones without the internet which ironically has been both boon and bane for the west

@johnkayoss5422 you do know that China overall was technologically deprived from the rest of the world with the west cutting off contact or relations with China so most of the mistakes committed ironically was the west fault with how there was zero knowledge about agriculture and Industrialization being recklessly carried like how Britain did in the 19th century with slave labour and lack of ethics as to make money more than they have available, really westerners will surely point out each countries flaws as the faults of those countries while having zero understanding about how knowledge and resources and trade was shared and deprived from countries as to destabilize them with similar to Cuba when it tried to adopt a socialist government, really Americans surely like to fault other countries as poor while being the reason of why those nations were poor in the first place

@boi9842 probably more with people forgetting how low was life expectancy and living standards during the Industrial revolution in Britain and other European countries which would have claimed billions at this point and that number still continuing on poorer countries, probably put it around more than 100 billion people with wars and other factors combined
