  14.  @Handle0108  ooh, nice Actually, I really wanna know about Somalia itself as well actually First, have Somalis been importing food since ancient times or they just rely on local agriculture fishing and pastoralism? It’s a region with great trade potential and horrible climate except in the south a bit and having the fertile Ethiopian highland nearby. Ik at some point Ethiopia rule the Somalian coast so this isn’t a problem but i wanna know about after that Secondly how far away had the goods from the Indopacific trade route travel to Somalia? Here in Thailand for example we have some goods from Japan but not a lot of influence until later but with a lot of Indian and Chinese influence and even some Arabian influence but there weren’t much from east Africa despite being in the same route. I’ve heard of large Chinese influence pretty far into Africa tho so I wanna know what the influences are like Thirdly do Somalians historically usually care about the land at all as a pretty sea facing civilization?would a powerful Somalian nation try to expand on land or just expand on the coast? Fourthly how does the dynamic between the merchants and various local herder groups play out? Do they trade often or is it just a stoppping point? I’ll ask more later btw, Im doing worldbuilding so this would also be a great inspiration

  17.  @Handle0108  ah, I see The Malaysian and Indonesian school of Islam is likely from the merchants since they are the one converting maritime south east Asia As for the clothing, that’s interesting It definitely looks very south East Asian Interesting since it’s also vaguely reminiscent of some clothing in mainland south east Asia like โสร่งso it could be of south East Asian origin

  20. Hi, idk will you get to read this, hope you will, but I think you are spot on on the young people war. As a Thai-Chinese this is also becoming much more of an issue as time passes to the point on par with gender and racial politics in usa. People are so radicalized on generational warfare that I think it absolutely could happen and propergate throughout the region, and spurring from southern China as the most coastal and capitalist region culture wise.

  42.  @TheRedHorseman1208  yeah, as long as ur alive there will always be new things you can try. If you flip a coin an infinite amount of time you will eventually get a head. Also I recommend gardening as well! Maybe also try inventing something new. This is just my experience bc I live in the tropics, but I’ve tried multiple ways to actually grow ferns and moss giving them enough moisture and it’s really fulfilling when experiments works. Or when my cactus seeds grow.
