insider trading is not a sign of "weak leadership" it is a sign that leadership is strongly corrupt

@luke-be8yw you are inverting cause and effect. Corrupt leaders are weak. But weak leaders are not automatically corrupt Respectfully.

Neutrality does not equate to indifference. Ireland has unique advantages in geography that allow it to navigate these issues safely. Good for them. ✅

A system that fosters blackmail is more an argument for dissolution of NATO and the EU, rather than tweaks over %

"dependent on gas" .. what happened to the years of subsidies and "investment" on green energy? Where are the Kilowatts from solar and wind? The unreliable and intermittent nature of these power sources was fudged over using cheap gas. And now their ambition and poor judgement are exposed for everyone to see. "energy rationing" = extended lockdowns to create and manage poverty as a political objective

@Luredreier there was no "failure" The choice of ministers was deliberate. Corruption was always part of the plan.

Trump trade deficit, Trump NATO 2%, Trump nordstream gas, Trump China, ALL painted in a bad light. But it turns out Trump was right! Russia and China are unreliable trade partners, suddenly Germany feels the urge to re-arm itself, and were not for LNG imports Germany would be crippled. The video goes to great lengths to avoid recognizing Trump was right all along.

There is no "right" Keep repeating "right" to create a narrative of fear, uncertainty and doubt People are fed up with supra-national burocrats that are not accountable.

Skip to 5:40 and avoid the fluff It's (always) the economy

4:10... "giving more money to Russia would guarantee peace." there is a reason this is a voice over. They can't say this with a straight face.

Should not happen
1
Politicians and journalists mix and confuse NATO, EU, and "europe" as it suits their agenda
1
4:38 "the war in ukraine gave Berlin a chance"... ja ja ja... there was no need for a "chance", the 2% spending was a comitment and requirement to being part of NATO. The script is used to mislead and deliver propaganda.

The day the Soviet Union collapsed NATO lost it's mission and reason. Yes we all need a new "nato-like" organization, but it is not to protect the "north atlantic". It should include Rusia as a partner, not a potential enemy. Having said that, Rusia could have played a smarter, less violent hand, and get better results. But they chosen to set the agenda back twenty years by invading Ukraine. Not cool, not the best move. What a replacement NATO should do is offer Rusia safety on it's western flank, and a promise of collaboration should a threat develop from the east.

Politicians want to present de-coupling from China as a choice. It is not. China's ever smaller (cheap) labor pool is forcing this move. The large cheap labor in China depressed labor costs in the entire world for decades. That anchor is now gone and wage increases are stressing european politics

1- The kurds are truly screwed. I say this as a fact, but not one that I agree with. Also, there is no simple solution to the kurd's people self determination. I can only wish for a outcome that does not involve more violence. 2- 32 of 33 extradictions is pretty good. Turkey would not hold a grudge for one guy that can be dealt with individually. 3- All this is irrelevant and old news. Sweden and Finland wanted to join NATO because they feared Rusia. After the "special military operation" it is clear that a) Rusia is no longer a (conventional) military threat, and b)that NATO will supply NON-NATO countries. So the reasons to become part of NATO are both gone! Why rock the boat when the boogeyman is toothless and help is not conditional to membership? The only important development is the re-arment of Western Europe, and the % of GDP that will be dedicated to it over the next 10 years. NATO no longer has a mission or purpose, It cannot be argued that it is the "North Atlantic" anything if it extends allll the wayyyy to Turkey. NATO is also useless if someone invades Taiwan or the Phillipines. It is no longer the right tool for the present problems. I do not claim I can fix it... I am just saying it is broken and rubbing the whole world the wrong way.

Contrarian take: Trump just called the hypocresy of Denmark, the bluff of Greenland "independence" political parties and made clear that Greenland is an strategic military asset under USA protection Just stating the status quo is now a "scandal" 🤷

First few seconds: "neither the right nor the left" But the tittle is "the right *failed*" I am so sick and tired of this biased press. Downvote.
1
the very fact that they cannot call themselves "center" or "moderate" tells you all you need to know about this movement "conservative left" is doublespeak.

So UK was right, BREXIT was justified, and the EU acknowledge they need reform.
1
@hamlet557 as you say, and I agree. There was a justification for BREXIT. But they also failed delivering on that! 👍
1
Wagner is going back to it's core business of gold mines in africa. Putin needs those mines because they are outside the scope of sanctions
1
@Luredreier Disagree He did not "fail". He meant for corruption to happen. That is why he choose these ministers. That is why he fought against long established checks and balances to prevent this This is not "a failure". It is by design.
