  3.  @phil20_20  for the weight and target that would be engaged with 8inches shells, a surface to surface missile has longer range and accuracy. If it needs an 8inch shell, it deserves a missile strike. Also. Anything that needs an 8inch shell is eveb better served by a air to surface missile. Even Longer range! and

  4.  @jp-um2fr  yes. The auto fretaging is used in high pressure pump equipment for oilfied and mining. I had the luck to see a fatigue failure on a pump, it had 12 years pumping seawater. It was a clean cut across four and a half inches of steel. Amazing to see, unique set of pressure/cycles that was way outside the design life case.
