  1. It doesn't matter what the government says they are "saving" or "protecting". One day swamps are useless, later they are precious. But do note that poverty DID NOT CHANGE by the government intervention, one way or the other. Only private enterprise creates wealth. All government programs are wasteful at best, and shameful grafts most of the time.
