  1. Here is the sad part. Let's overlook the totalitarism and lack of accountability. The fact is that these central blocks of Paris truly are great living spaces. So WHY is any zoning code (more tyranny, same tyranny) anywhere in the world different from Haussman's plans? If it is known and shown what works...and governments mandate otherwise and in contradiction of this, it means that they do not prioritize the citizen's life quality.
