  1. So.. taxes make investment in infrastructure unviable... who could have forseen that? ALSO: governmets have had the ability to sell tax free bonds for decades...and are so inefficient that even with that advantage they could not build the line. BONUS: amtrak has failed to do any of this for decades. They already had the corridor, could issue tax free bonds...and still could not provide high(er) speed lines
