As for the AI itself... the fact that a large language model can fool a human to believe that it is "empathetic" means nothing... half of all humans are below the median IQ.

If you bang chimps in the head, they will learn quickly, and soon do whatever absurd thing you want them to do with the pieces of paper. Religions are the same, you don't want to believe in the imaginary old man in the cloud? Well, let me introduce to you my zealots, mi inquisitors or just be prepared to be shunned by your neighbors. Humans run the world because we have taken violence to levels that no bee, no dolphin and no chimp has ever achieved.
