the original strain was also mild. It was only a threat to old, frail, fat, diabetic, high blood pressure. That was wonderful enough. Hopefully we learned the lesson: lockdowns delay but do not avoid, but lockdowns DO create poverty and great social damage.

@annaredding I am sorry for your personal loss. But no death is worth my liberty. And I yield to no government, much less one that could not "save" you from your loss.

@annaredding Everybody deserves courtesy. Since liberty and safety is a dificult tradeoff, please do not let the governments make that choice for nobody. KNOWINGLY infecting someone is not a biological/medical problem, it is murder. But if I have a virus that is asymptomatic... how can it be known?

@annaredding it IS an inconvenience. I do not dispute this. What you do not have is the standing to force inconveniences on others. Not by yourself, and not by using the government as your personal thug. You also attempt to say is a "minor" inconvenience... as if the scale of the coercion matters. You do not get to judge what is "minor" for me. I will not give you the right or the power to MAKE ME use a mask.... but if you, personally, asks me in a civil way to do so, I probably would. Maybe I would leave, wait until you are gone...I would exercise my freedom without imposing ON YOU.

@ziganda26 as we should. The only way out is to let nature take it's course. There is no law, no decree, no passport and certainly no cloth or paper mask that could stop the spanish flu, the regular cold, or this. Governments want you to believe that they "do something", when they are helpless and useless. Be careful of on who you place faith. Beware of faith itself. I have seen NO EVIDENCE that government decrees cure. They have mismanaged health services for decades. Why you belive this charlatans?
