France is gearing up to repeat the success of the Mirage3. Many countries that don't align with NATO want to purchase from another source, and Russia's kit is no longer competitive.

3:45 Nah... Marines would call an airstrike on the camp and call it a night
14
Min 7:00 The water supply for Crimea is one of the keys. Any negotiation will include the water supply and russian control of the sea of Azov. Not saying that these things should be surrendered, but I am saying that if this has to be resolved if a lasting peace is desired. Again, Binkov is doing a great job of handling a very complex issue in real time. Keep the tone and the balance.

16:30 on the previous users of Mirages Keep an eye on LatAm. Many countries will replace their aging Mirages over the next 5 years Solid content

@smorebytes Spot on. Very different geography, very different geo-politics, very different goals...result in very different armed forces.

Shells is only part of the game The barrels themselves get worn out Perun did a great video on it This is good content, the format is unique.
7
And then there is Canada. They would jump at the opportunity.

These SDBs are a tactical ground attack airforce wing, in a much smaller, cheaper package. 6:20 "greater radar reflection" Yes... yes... turn on the radars. Then the HARMS will hit. Risking the air defense assets to engage gliding bombs is a bad trade. The fact that we are getting BETTER information and analysis from a sock puppet than from "traditional media" should not be overlooked. 😁👍

5:45 This is convenient It is a win-win. It's cheaper to build new ones. It avoids the cost of disposal, and it develops a capability that will get export sales.
6
Somewhere, someone is developing a heat seeking, flying, drone anti-tank mine. One that doesn't need communications, can't be jammed, and attacks both tanks and sappers.
5
Precision guided munition negate concentration of large armor spearheads
5
"release the kraken" ? Hold my beer: Release the armoured D8 caterpillars. The whole place is about to become a parking lot. There is no good outcome left. Not even an acceptable one.
5
amphibious landings are difficult IF un-oposed, in good weather and with good luck in today's environment, with oposition, drones and portable missiles...it is closer to "nope"
5
It doesn't have to be a purpose built ship. Commercial container ships are good enough. The missiles provide standoff to keep the ship safe.
4
It is smart to create alternative production lines

Additional considerations 1-IF the facility is processing nuclear material, do you really want to OPEN the ventilation, and then blow it up to make a radioactive plume? Just destroying/blocking/burying/damaging the ventilation would shut down the facility. There is no need for two consecutive bulls-eye drops. This is not the Death Star, it is a factory. 2- IF it is a ventilation port it will stand out in the infrared. Forget the laser guidance and fire the biggest IR guided thing available. 3- Why no net of heavy gauge steel wire across the canyon? just saying... if you have money for SAMs and nuclear facilities buried in a mountain, cheap The movie is a big "meh"
4
Defines the problem well. But deeper missile magazines don't need to be aboard the ship with the sensors and control. A common container ship can serve as a dumb launch platform, carry many missiles, and be reloaded in any commercial port.

There is an additional dimension to another attempt at the Falklands, and the english speakers may not be aware of it. The argentinian government behaved like a total A-hole to the veterans, wounded and crippled from the war. This has consequences among the ranks, and officers morale. I do not doubt the courage of the argentinian soldiers or officers. Not then, not now. If they have to fight to defend Argentina, they will do their duty. BUT if you ask them to go attack the Falklands... NOW they have a precedent of what happens to them in their own country. And it wasn't pretty. Respectfully.

How automated is the Constellation? Can it run autonomously for a week? Curious
4
F35 sensors and sensor fusion is useless if there are no other assets to fuse with.
3
What I want to know is if India, Indonesia and Brasil are taking notes from Turkey on this matter (insert Mr Bean taking test meme)
3
Forget the navy. It's the bridge that matters Respectfully

I see what you did there 😁

Just wanted to say the F16 is fully fly by wire, and the QF16 is already certified to carry weapons. We have all seen what they have done with Bayraktars and cheaper drones. Now level up to QF16.
2
Where are the "6th generation" VERY long range missiles?
2
@panpiper Understood, thanks. 👍

The nuclear bombs stopped the russian tanks from rolling all the way to Spain. If the nuclear bombs were not dropped, Stalin would have not partitioned Germany. They would just continue driving south. In a "reverse Napoleon" campaign, the weather and the terrain keep getting better as you go south. No allied plane could reach the Urals to bomb the T34 factories. France and England could not hold alone. The US would have had to make a bad deal with Japan to defend Europe.
1
Will these ships need some sort of tender/depot/flotilla leader mothership? (somewhat like the Dixie or Vulcan)
1
@profesercreeper 10% true covered how (somehow) they managed to launch HARMs from MIGs https://youtu.be/ha-mL1MbvO0 Regards
1
@Noschool100 Russia cannot give up the Crimea because it needs access and outlet into the Black Sea. The HOW it gets access can be negotiatied.
1
@Justanotherconsumer Or a distributed swarm of unmanned stealth loitering AWCAS that rotate the radar emission, locations and frequencies. Can't be targeted or locked onto. Xmit data via laser upward to satellites.

2:49 it's pointier! 😂
1
@konstantinosnikolakakis8125 It is a great example of movie making. With practical and not CGI. Maybe it will be the very last one (unless Nolan decides to make another movie JAJA ) It is fun to watch, but not emotionally engaging. Respectfully. 👍

@skybattler2624 IR sensors cause ground clutter?
1
@skybattler2624 ok. understood. 👍
1
when clowns make policy, it takes a sock puppet to make sense of the world Solid content. I do not agree with everything, nor do I agree with Elon But it is a solid video.

@patrickkelly6691 👍
1
It would be very costly to answer that question. Luckily for all involved: Putin will be done for long before we find out how long "russia would last"
1
praise to Binkov for taking on a sensitive and complex problem My conclusion is that in every scenario the citizens lose, the governments "win"
1
@everythingevergreen3320 If you are "not sure", go watch Perun's video. He may have something worth seeing. Cheers!
1
@everythingevergreen3320 Exactly. If a barrel can fire 2000 rounds before being worn out... and Ukraine is firing 6000 round per DAY... that means that the fleet as a whole would need three new barrels EVERY DAY. That is 90 new barrels per month. That is another sizeable logistic and manufacturing bottleneck. Plus the downtime to replace the barrels and the manpower and tooling. Respectfully. 👍🎩
