  1. So go crazy and say that BOOM sells 40 airframes per year. That is 160 engines. Round up to 2000 engines over ten years. A clean sheet engine would set you back 6 to 10 billions. So just in development costs each engine will be front loaded with 3M dollars, nobody has made any profit, and interest rates are rising.
