  2. It is a purge. Police has weapons, and in a tyrany weapons can only be in the hands of obedient goons that comply to orders. First "defund" the police, that got rid of some of the "troublesome", the older closer to retirement crowd that held the institutional knowledge. Then purge the remaining "unfaithful" with the jab mandates. Next step? Stuff the police forces with unconditional thugs and give them impunity. The list is long, Stalin did it. Chavez did it ( "colectivos"). Nothing new under the sun.

If a citizen feels powerless to confront the government, then he is a slave.   6.  @ryanmedic789  freedom to make bad choices includes dying from my choices. The CDC says I have a 99.97% survival rate in my age group, so I rather risk that than forfeit freedom. If i die, I die a freeman. I rather be sick than enslaved.
