@davidbeppler3032 imagine, other counteies do too, and still they manage to build railroads, lol. Also, your fave hypeloop will have the same problem

Yeah, and Branson is even worse. Look at history of his scams

@andrasbiro3007 Elon Musk an engineer???? 😂😂😂😂😂 In your fantasy, maybe
2
@alienatedbeing7513 I'd say his actual engineering knowledge is almost non-existent, considering that all actuall work is done by his employees, and the only things he came up with solely by himself, are on the level of "white paper"

@davidbeppler3032 except people haven't been saying those things will never happen for a long time already. And the concept of the vacuum train has existed for how many centuries? And it still is not working, properly and safely. Those other things you mentioned were realised in a reasonable time frame after they were first proposed and tried. So stop thinking by analogy. Simply because in some cases peoplewere skeptical, but the concept worked does NOT mean every concept people are skeptical about will necessarily work. Or, by this "logic", "solar roadways" would work too 😂

I haven't seen any video about hyperloop, which mentions Sarkeesian. And before you ask, I watched all Thunderfoot's videos about hyperloop too. His videos about Sarkeesian are pretty cringe, right, but I haven't seen him mix the two subjects, thankfully

Elon Musk rat's fans are worse. Thunderfoot is one of the few who has been calling out his bs ideas for a very long time. Although he actually had some pretty bad takes about non-scientific issues on his channel. And some of his fans are also meh. But still, Musk rat's cult is way more dangerous in my opinion. Like hundred times more

@Rahul_G.G. he may be crap in many things, but his point about vacuum systems in huge volume being unsafe and hard to maintain is actually a good one. And that is the only thing that matters in relation to hyperloop.
1
@andrasbiro3007 how is it bs that the vacuum system always leak? It is a fact of real world. And maintenance of functional vacuum in a large volume would be extremely cost inefficient
1
@jeffjames3111 landing a rocket is not going against basic laws of physics and their real world effects, and trying to create a vacuum in large volumes on Earth and expect it not to leak and to be safe, is
1
@pjaenator not his point about non-feasibility of a huge vacuum tube, though. Thunderfoot has been wrong about a lot of stuff, which is outside of realm of physics, but when it comes to vacuum, so far he is spot on

The problem with Mars is that even building a colony for a team of a dozen people, with all life support and safety measures, would cost more money, time and effort than any other project in human history so far. Because it is not easy. Probably, Elon realised it... Finally... And stopped scamming people with promises of huge scale Mars colonisation in his lifetime. Finally

Why not just shop locally? It works just as well, for people with reasonable expectations at least
