So, because the previous life in the empire was even worse, many people were willing to overlook that Soviet regime was bad, just cause it fixed at least some of previous problems

  2. oh, the farmers in Kolhoz were certainly not following those rules all the time! Often they followed rules imposed on them only on paper, and often did the right thing in practice. Otherwise, the results would be even worse
