Our society is based on pronatalist propaganda, this makes people never question whether reproduction is ethical, and ignore all the potential risks in life for future children, even in situations when those risks are huge. And desire of people to have bio-kids is glorified as some sacred cow, and if you question it, someone calls you an "eugenicist" even if your particular concern has nothing to do with population genetics
