Same here in Russia. During covid so many people turned anti-vax. And with our government neglecting education it is going to get worse.

@jonovens7974 current conservatives are more reactionary than just conservative. They don't want to just conserve the current state, but to return everything back to the past

Yeah I see it everywhere not only in academia
23
@ImJustVale I have little hope. Not only for Russia. For humanity as a whole
16
@ImJustVale we use VPN for that 😂 In general not good. Our gvrnment is becoming more unhinged every day

Actually that isn't her take. Her take is more of mathematical beauty is regarded as more important than anything

I was so disappointed she continues to make these clickbait thumbnails, which say that all science is failing
6
He is. Project 2025 was written by his associates. And that is a very theocratic fasc document
4
Or better learn more about science and read the papers ina field you are interested in, yourself

Climate change denier. Who would have thought?!

@minihalkoja590 yes! real one not marxism-leninism
2
@oddcatz6909 oh yeah. I can. I also can end up in prison for 15 years for doing that. Who'll be better off from this?

Vlad is great
2
Nope. Privatisation ruins almost everything. Public funding is better

The whole world is turning into that

Youtube shadow bans ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. No matter the topic, the content, the channel etc. When will people learn it doesn't depend on what they write and about what?!

Yeah here in Russia during Soviet times science was way better off than today. Today we have capitalism, wilder one than in almost any western nation

She just goes with a flow. She knows future in this post-truth right-wing world isn't with science.
1
@mr.t107 yeah, post-truth, anti-science ultra-right wing, authoritarian shift. It is worldwide. A name is a bit long, but covers all parts of it
1
@macon8638 it was approved way too early. But it was a normal vaccine. It worked. However the problem isn't skepticism towards this specific vaccine, problem is it turned many people into being more generally anti-vax. Many just denied Covid. Half of people didn't wear masks even in metro even during the peak of the pandemic
1
Yup. In Russia anti-science pseudo-science are also in the rise.
1
When did it have a good run? When it g*n**ided its natives or when it funded coups in Latin America? All countries s*ck. And always did. None of them were ever good. Certainly for most of history none of them were good for women.
1
It also created so many grifters who spew misogynistic or other far right bs and make millions off that.
1
Political side which constantly denies science brought politics into this
1
He is a fasc just like his buddy Putin
1
@Xnoob545 that is scary actually. Humanity is pretty bad and always was, so it being unstoppable is scary
1
I am Russian, anti-Putin and while Putin plays a negative role you guys need to admit there are plenty of your own bad actors in your own countries
