  2. We had a dog and later several parakeets in our apartment. If it is warm, you may put your dog on a balcony for some time. With two out of three parakeets, they were free to fly everywhere in 2 bedrooms, but not in other parts. In short you either get used to it, or find a new home for a pet. Or simply get small pets
