  1. The natives were protecting their sovereignty, and the settlers were sent to settle the territory which wasn't theirs, but government lied to them and assured them it will be ok, it belongs to the US, not to the native tribes. Many settlers were immigrants who came with nothing.

  6. I am Russian, and many interviews from independent media from Ukraine you see people who do in fact hate Putin. And I agree with them. I hate him too. Even what he was doing inside Russia was already enough to hate him, and this crisis is another step.
