Hardly. They just had too high population growth rate in the past, so their proportion of boomers is way too high, and children make a small percentage of population, but the actual number of kids in Japan is not low

Some Western countries recycle 100% of their trash. Others should do this too
27
As if seeing someone not smile would ruin someone's day. No, it wouldn't.
25
So they use kids as a way to get out of poverty? Such people shouldn't have kids
20
It is a secular country
16
Nah you have to have at least one Jewish grandparent. So 25%

Nothing apocalyptic. People moved away, nature returns, and that's great

I agree. Our species is an abomination, judging by bad things that many people do to each other and other living beings and environment
3
Jeez, no, thatis not ok. If my parents treated me like that when I was a teen instead of being soft and understanding, I would be dead already (I was depressed and suicidal at such age)
3
I don't know, I don't like dresses and skirts

Exactly, that is the whole reason for this fear mongering about declining birth rates. The fact is this economic system, addicted to impossible endless growth is unsustainable anyway, due to multiple reasons, mostly the fact that few dozens of people hoard as much wealth as half of humanity has. If this broken economic system can't sustain itself when population stops growing, that is a symptom, not a cause
2
@senseioi6074 no need. Every single human will die relatively soon anyway. One person dying few decades earlier won't bring human extinction. People need to stop breeding. Or, btw, the natural world will bring us down, because our overpopulation and overconsumption destroys the natural systems, which provide for us
2
Just ban male tourists. The harassment will become almost non-existent.
2
@katerynaberidukhova2923 yeah, I will visit there soon. But I wouldn't wanna live there. Beautiful scenery is not enough. Kamchatka lacks a lot of things we have in SPb, so I would have hard time living there. And I bet many people feel the same, cause Kamchatka population is declining
2
@2rooms19 thinking that most Russian have any influence on the government is pretty ignorant. Especially the ones living in a tiny village 6000 km away from Moscow
2
Great I hope to see more of this around the world. And more pro-natalist whining of course, cause it's funny 😂
1
It is the obsession of royal family with purity, whatever that means, and also not letting women rule
1
I like when everything is covered in frost, trees are so beautiful!
1
Poland lets its own religion interfere with politics. Disgusting.
1
@Blaze6432 in Saudi Arabia everyone, who is not satisfied is executed or severely beaten up
1
Tell her they marry 50-year olds at 16, are r**ed by him every day, and birth 10+ kids, and live in poverty
1
@fuguwa vegan and no car are important things to do but the most impact is from not having children. Less people - less consumption and pollution
1
They won't do it. They don't care about people. They are happy to directly send thousands to die after all. Plus we Russians are in many ways like Americans. Our population is divided on many things and there are a lot of conspiracies. If you mandate masks, half of population distrusts anything that they are said to do so much, that they will demonstrably not wear masks. You could see it during COVID. You would hardly find another country with such a low level of mask usage

"war on drugs" is what makes it dangerous. Because of it cartels control all supply and sell it for extremely high prices, and become rich, which allows them to have more influence and power.
1
Sure, banning accomodation for poor people will truly solve the problem! If they are homeless, who cares about them at all, am I right? 🤦
1
Less people - more nature
1
Israeli propaganda is even more invasive than Putin's one
1
So, earthquakes in Turkey and Syria were also some "punishment"? For what? Sorry idiot, but nature doesn't care about what humans do. It just does its thing
1
Yeah cause if you lived there, you would bravely protest, sure sure. Have you ever lived under a threat of prison for half of your life just for criticising the government? No? Then you are privileged and have no business telling people in worse position what to do or blaming them
1
Oh yeah all those wonderful manhuas, which romanticize toxic relationships! 🤦🤦🤦
1
"war on drugs" only makes cartels stronger
1
@ShiningGalaxy01 you sound like an anti-semite obsessed with Jews
1
How many humans think treating animals with decency equals "humiliating humans"? 🤦 One of the reasons I dislike my own species - so arrogant
1
Many people say "it is never too late to get an education". True, but she is not even that old, younger than me in fact, and I am still in education system as well, as a PhD student.( I have even lived in student dormitory for more than a decade up until several months ago.) Anyways, great story, thanks
1
Or when "war on drugs" actually makes things worse
1
I cannot even stand +30 C lol
1
In fact they do recycle much of their trash, so why not recycle most of it?
1
And than us people in Russia too 😮
