Also, if he was raised as a white person and identified only as a white person, then you would be correct, but he wasn't. Ask any natives, they will tell you being native is about culture much more than about genetic descent. Many tribes have 1/4 or 1/8 (25% or 12.5%) blood quantum or don't have one at all. For example, I am around 68.5% ethnic Russian and was raised only as Russian, and thus I identify as such. The rest are Polish and some unknown ethnic groups. BUT, if I was raised in both Russian and Polish culture, I would identify with both. Ethnicity is about culture, language and identity, NOT genetics

  12.  @fannin8583  yeah, but social classification of race is usually very arbitrary, and not based on most important genetic/physiological differences. Like what the heck is "Latino" category? That is certainly not based on reality. Also, Africa is so genetically diverse, that black Africans could themselves be classified into several "races"

  13. Well, social constructs are based on something. Lets just say, the fact that different groups have different phenotype is one thing, but HOW those groups are classified are another. Into which exactly groups you divide the population is arbitrary

  16. He does look like a light mestizo to me. So? Some people who have seen the same photos of me said I look white to them, and others said I don't. I should identify with something based on how I "seem" to look to other people??? Ethnicity, btw, is about culture, not genetics, od course. So is being native American. Ask any natives, they will tell you, identifying with a tribe, being raised in native culture etc. are more important to them than genetics

AFTER the Romans withdrew, Angles, Saxons, Jutes and Frisians from the continent started to spread through Britain. There are known dates of conquest by Anglo-Saxons for every place and every city in modern England, from the 5th century. In the end Brittonic languages and culture were displaced and survived only in Wales, Cornwall and Cumbria. Anglia is also a peninsula between Germany and Denmark, that is where Angles came from. Saxony - name of several provinces in Germany. Jutland - name of a large peninsula which makes most of modern Denmark. Frisia/Friesland - a province in the Netherlands
