We in Russia and other former USSR countries are thought 2 classifications: "continents" are physical geography and there are 6: Eurasia, Africa, North America, South America, Australia and Antartctica. And there are "parts of the world" which is cultural/historical classification, and there are 6: Europe, Asia, Africa, the Americas, Oceania and Antarctica. It is all arbitrary again as you can see

  3. Eurasia is definitely one continent geographically. Borders between Europe and Asia are very arbitrary, and there are around ten different variants of said "borders"

  4. Urals which separate Europe and Asia are several times shorter than Himalayas, which separate India from rest of Eurasia. Why then Europe is called continent and and India calles sub-continent? And by the way, here, in Russia, there is city with more than 1 million people that sits right on the border of Europe and Asia. If there wasnt some sign for that, you woudnt be able to tell where this border is...
