  2. I am from Russia and our news are just propaganda for the regime. Also, our government sent help to Turkey to help with the fires, but still cannot send proper ammunition to Siberia, where at least 15000 km^2 are burning

  3. Actually all the terrible things in that world are just up- scaled to the scale of half a galaxy. Wars may not be happening on Earth, but there are genocides, slave trade and wars on the scale of whole planetary systems. That is not optimistic or utopian. But realistic I guess, civilizations and humanoid creatures spoil the universe and create suffering on the larger and larger scales. That is why civilization as a concept is overrated, and we shouldn't wish for it to be spread further into universe. Natural systems are superior on many levels - more stable, more complex, last longer without any effort to maintain them, and can actually provide for millions of species not only one or few
