  1. @Kingu most people in retirement homes are people with kids, those kids just live far away, or cannot or don't want to care for them. Plus, yeah, I would rather spend 10 last years in the retirement home and have the life I want (without kids) the previous 5-6 decades if my life.

My dudes... 🤦 Nation of 50 million people having very low birth rate for a decade or so, which would mean they would go extinct only IF the birth rate stays this low forever, and only AFTER several centuries: "Oh No, ThEy ArE gOiNg ExTiNcT! tHiS iS a TrAgEdY!!!1" Meanwhile, humanity continues to cause extinction of dozens, maybe hundreds species every years, and whole ecosystems are in real danger: "hm, whatever, that is bad, I guess" All that you need to know about humanity's understanding of reality 🤷 Our destruction of environment may cause us ALL to go extinct way before 2800. More people (in any country) is certainly not what we need in the current situation
