Unlimited growth, of economy, population or anything else, is impossible on a finite planet. Such strategy will lead to overshoot and collapse inevitably! Humanity has already multiplied way too much, if all, everyone needs to have German birth rate, at least for century, until human population falls back to more sustainable level

Which is also why we should encourage low birth rate everywhere in the world now (Including not trying to raise population, by birth or by immigration, in developed countries), since human species as a whole is now in overshoot already.

  10.  @SrSideral  the apex predators are a very vulnerable part of a food chain. Only the primary producers like microorganisms and plants actually control the food chains and thus "rule the Earth". We think too much about ourselves. In reality large vertebrates are the most unnecessary part of the biosphere (for the current ecosystems they are important, but this is only a small period in history of Earth). So yeah, we don't own anything. Primary producers own us and our whole existence

  20.  @tokiburoak7457  it doesn't matter, different nations had different technologies cause they had different needs, don't judge them, it doesn't make them worse. Also, you are generalising too. North America had more than 300 indigenous groups, all had different economy and life. Only few lived in teepees. Most eastern groups were sedentary, not nomadic. Centralised urban centers like Cahokia and Pueblo existed. And actually they had less infectious diseases, those usually come from domesticated animals, and Americas had less species of those than Eurasia.

  38. Many people in Russia travel by train, and it takes much longer. The max I had to endure was 19 hours, but some travel for 3+ days

  44. It is Western Siberia. Khanty-Mansi region has plenty of oil, it is technically the richest region in Russia (not the most people though). Most of places without roads and stuff are much further East
