  1.  @SrSideral  the apex predators are a very vulnerable part of a food chain. Only the primary producers like microorganisms and plants actually control the food chains and thus "rule the Earth". We think too much about ourselves. In reality large vertebrates are the most unnecessary part of the biosphere (for the current ecosystems they are important, but this is only a small period in history of Earth). So yeah, we don't own anything. Primary producers own us and our whole existence
