@BigBangAttack-mt6pz aren't compensated? My family received their 3 bedroom apartment and a land piece for summer house from Soviet government all because my granddad and grandma worked hard on the railways and in the factory respectively. Today people with their occupation can buy such accomodation only with 30-year mortgage, to pay a lot of money to the bank every month

It was not. Even USSR didn't claim it was. They were promising to build communism by certain date many times, but they didn't claim they already had it

@ihl0700677525 Gulag was closed after Stalin's death. All later half of Soviet history it didn't exist
