  1. Well, yeah, USA boomers kinda have that reputation of being so terribly selfish. Here in Russia boomers do everything for family and kids, even when kids are already adult: give money, buy apartments etc. I know cause my parents are boomers, they kinda have that ideology here that you should sacrifice literally everything for kids and not think about yourself at all, it is the opposite extreme from what stereotypical US boomer-Karens believe

  2. Some people retire much later than they technically can. My parents, 67 and 70, still continue working. They even didn't want to stop working after the COVID happened, though mom really had no choice, but dad had, and he decided to go working. Idk how everywhere, here in Russia most pensions are very small, so people are afraid to retire earlier, cause living on pension ia hard, I have known some women who were working way into their 80s

  3. Well, yeah, but corporations are worse than governments, and in the void left by the govwrnments, it is big corporations who will gain the most power and influence over the economy not the small local businesses
