  2. 1:00 - "selling them as brides"? You mean sex slaves??? If a girl or a woman is stolen to be forced into sexual relationship, that is sexual slavery, not marriage!

  3. Children are seen as possession in places where there are many of them. Like they are property of their parents, and every single child is not as valued as in a modern society, where everyone has a limited amount of kids, and invests into quality of their lives. Religious fanatics even in the first world usually have many kids and view them as their property, and try to control their whole lives (and kick them out if they happen to disagree or are LGBT+, or if their daughters don't want to be subservient baby-factories)
