  2. Humans can be such idiots sometimes. Here in Russia most throw trash where they stand, in the city or in the woods, it doesn't matter, and cause wildfires while camping, because they just can't stay sober to check on the fire

  4. Our garden near the summer house is actually rather big, and is mostly covered in either berry bushes, apple trees, plum trees or wild grasses, plus strawberries and potatoes are grown. In the past we also had two small green houses for tomatoes and cucumbers, now there is more area for local grasses and flowers to grow. Bumblebees and wasps sometimes build underground nests in the garden as well. I like them a lot, I cannot stand when people poison all the insects

  12.  @benadams5557  no we think that nations which are already developed stop their growth and instead redistribute the wealth equitably. The economic growth in the USA was larger than in any other developed nation during last few decades, yet the poor people are now poorer. Economic growth without fair distribution of wealth doesn't solve the issue of poverty at all

There is no such thing as "green economic growth", all resources we use are taken from nature, from other species or in a process which direcly or indirectly destroys the other species (like mining etc). Economy of biosphere as a whole is actually a zero-sum game. Everything humans use is taken from some other life forms

  22.  @bobspizza7444  electric cars don't do anything in places where electricity comes from fossil fuels. Also, their batteries are produces with dirty tech, so public transport is better anyway and regular people can't just build public transport infrastructure all on their own. So I agree, systemic problems need systemic solutions. Blaming individual people is useless. Also,.I am from Russia and we will have areas which will experience problems due to climate change like droughts, floods and permafrost melting, it is just our corrupt politicians don't care anyway
