Many women were diagnosed with "mental illness" just for not being compliant and submissive, not wanting to sleep eith their husband, wanting to work etc. And after that some of them were lobotomized against their will, so that their husband can finally r**e them without facing any resistance and so that they don't have their own personality and thoughts anymore. It was one more way to subjugate women very often
