@smefour that is nonsense. "Things will take care of themselves". I have never heard more idiotic stuff

@victoriawurm1866 why didn't Iran protest for decades before? Have you asked yourself that? that is the difference in dictatorships: people don't protest because the risks become very huge and the probability of success is insanely low. Sometimes something can trigger a large protest. It may succeed or it may fail (like in Belarus). But you cannot predict what can trigger it and you cannot prescribe the "recipe" for success. It is impossible. Omg you guys are literally super ignorant about how things work in authoritarian countries. If you lived here, you would feel it and understand, and 99% of probability you would act the same as everyone

In Russia we have a lot of anti-vax and "pandemic is a lie" people. It is actually a sign that most people don't truly believe the government at all. Their fall into conspiracy theories during pandemic was caused by one thing - the average person saw only one source stating about importance of anti-pandemic measures: state TV and state officials. And people don't trust those at all. If someone is scientifically educated or reads international sources they are more likely to trust in anti-pandemic measures. But still don't believe the government about other things

Oh yeah sure you guys are so smart, who have never lived in dictatorship. I would be delighted to see what you would actually do if you did. Probably you would understand then... Also, many of those people were subjected to propaganda for years. Propaganda works. You may think it doesn't work on you, but that is incorrect. The advertisment uses the same tactics as propaganda, and if it didn't work, it wouldn't be an industry. Multiple studies confirm it works on subconscious levels. You don't even notice. If you were subjected to political propaganda, it would also work on you the same way, and most of you would fall for it. Humans are the same everywhere: 2/3 are conformists!

Maybe your politicians should have ditched the dependency on Russian gas and oil long ago then? Putin invaded Georgia in 2008, it was 14 years ago, then he annexed Crimea in 2014. And killed opposition and did other despicable things. Yet EU politicians continued to forgive him everything for cheap gas. And EU citizens voted for such politicians

So Europeans are the same then? Putin invaded Georgia in 2008, it was 14 years ago, then he annexed Crimea in 2014. And killed opposition and did other despicable things. Yet EU politicians continued to forgive him everything for cheap gas. And EU citizens voted for such politicians

@nole8923 this literally has nothing to do with mongols and anything that happened so long ago. People trying to justify current political situation by what happened many centuries ago are pathetic and ignorant. Also, in Ukraine and Poland many people were under serfdom for a long time too, smartass. And in most Eastern Europe. Also, you are basically blaming enslaved people for being enslaved? That is just terrible

@Zz_Mike-Hawk_zZ not "everyone", but many people hate him. But other people within power structure loved him when he allowed them to steal and buy luxuries abroad. Now they are just afraid of him

@Limemill yeah, sure, you believe those "polls" that say Putin's support grew. Hilarious! 🤣
