  3. Genetically speaking all natural reproduction is risky and thus morally questionable. Also I wonder if we criticized people with genetic disease and inherited disabilities reproducing we would be "called" ableist" and dismissed, even though many of those have bigger risks to children than cousin marriage. But apparently if people have certain conditions it is ok for them to risk their children's health and don't you dare criticize them.

  5. Well, I think non-reproductive incest isn't a big deal. Surely, that means f-ed up family dynamic if siblings are interested in each other that way, but that is their problem. When incest is reproductive, they are harming not only themselves, but a potential child, that is why it is that bad. And to clarify for Americans, when degree of relatedness is less than 1/4, it is not incest. Inbreeding, but not incest. That is why cousin marriage is not "incest". You joke about Southern states which don't forbid cousin marriage, but most countries in the world don't forbid it. Cousin reproductive inbreeding causes problems if it repeats again and again in the family, like it happened in most royal dynasties. When it happens once, it rarely causes problems

  9. Even first cousins aren't related enough to cause significantly more problems for the child genetically, if it is only one cousin marriage, not a repeating thing in the family. People forget that regular unions also have a non-zero chance of children being born with genetic disorder. Reproduction is always a lottery, and parents are risking children's well-being in every case. If any risk of genetic disorder is bad, no matter how small, then any "natural" non-IVF reproduction is basically immoral
