  1. Well, he also mentioned that flight back would be "free" for some reason. If he is speculating about some vague future with some vague unrelated people sending people to Mars and back, how can he say that they won't charge anything for a trip back? Huh? No, he is talking as if he is planning his own course of actions. So, he either plans to send people to Mars for such price during his lifetime, or he thinks that after his death his company will follow his policy of not taking money for a trip back to Earth. I don't know which alternative is more foolish
