  3. More like 10 thousand years. When societies became unequal and humans returned to hierarchy, it doomed us (nomadic hunter gatherers were rather egalitarian). We still haven't figured out how a big complex society can be an egalitarian one. We should figure it out soon, or political and economic elites will continue to abuse their power to the point of ruining everything.
