  1. With modern destructive tecniques of freezing, I can bet cryonics will not work. Plus trusting cryonics is the same as trusting some totally unproven fairytales like afterlife and so on. Better face death with acceptance and courage than search for illusions of immortality.

  3. Most cryonicists are not dying. They can search for information about cryonics, which proves that it is mostly crap. First, technology of freezing brain now is kinda destructive, so when brain is partially destroyed, the lost information already will not ever be recovered. Second, the technology of bringing them back to life: there are only speculations about that. There did "1-2% chance" come from? That is only speculation. Because to make real estimate, you must: propose a technology that will bring them back, estimate a probability that this technology can be created at all (very important step), estimate a probability that it will be created in reality, estimate a probability that future society will be willing to use it to bring frozen people back etc. etc. And third, cryonics is business. Generations of descendants or other relatives of cryonicist will have to pay for his body to be preserved. So, do cryonicists have rights to make their descendants pay for such a speculative technology? And will they be willing to pay? Each generation can give up paying for cryonicist's body.

  4. 1. Yes. There is something to lose in cryonics. Your descendants will have to pay for it otherwise facility won't keep the body. Dont make your descendants pay for false hope. 2. Exactly. People have to be legally dead before they are frozen and that is exactly why cryonics won't work. Your brain is dead when it is frozen, do you think it is possible to make it alive again? I am not sure it is physically possible at all. Only people with poor understanding of biology (and economy) believe that such miracles are going to be possible in future so near that companies who freeze these bodies now will still exist. It would be another way if there were technologies to safely freeze alive but dying brain - then it could work. But really cryonics are trying to convince people that they will make already dead matter alive again - which is more than speculative. 3. Chances of cryonics (with modern freezing technology) to ever work are not simply small, they are miserable. So miserable that you can effectively (for practical reasons) say that probability is 0%. This is simple statistics
