  1. Singularitarians are like religious fanatics with blind faith in miracles. Someone tell them, that "exponential growth" that they like so much actually can slow down, stop or be reversed in certain circumstances. They think it is totally unstoppable, but with no proof. They think that literally endless growth of technology is possible. But that is absolutely ridiculous. Endless growth of anything contradicts laws of nature of this very universe.  What about Kurzweil, well, that guy is so afraid of death, that he desperately wants something to make him immortal in the next 30 years at least. Simple as fuck - death anxiety in him is enormous and unrestricted. Maybe he should have learned more about Terror management theory - that would explain much of his own motives to him. Not to say that he is awfully ignorant about neurobiology and still thinks he knows everything about brain
