  1. Whiteness is a relative terminology. Remember one day Irish and Southern Europeans were not considered "white", then they immigrated in large numbers and then they became "white". Maybe Latinos will also be considered "white" in the future

  2.  eric5335  One did not need to be considered "white" to not be enslaved. Chinese and Natives were not enslaved, but they were never considered "white". "White" and "black" never were the only categories
