That is not what Lineker, so your presumptions are questionable. Focus on what he said, not what you presume he said. The UK has taken in fewer refugees than other countries: fact. That the language and rhetoric is akin to Germany in the 1930's: an assertion. In a democratic society founded on the notion of free speech and freedom of expression, Lineker has every right. It seems only footballers must stick to playing or talking about the game. Why are you commenting and not sticking to what you do? So focus on the issues of what he said!

@wendybutler2359 Well that is your choice. But first of all, rules of impartiality do not apply to sports journalists. Impartiality can also be a complicity of silence. Funny that none of this arose when Lineker criticised Corbyn, or when Andrew Neil and Lord Sugar compared Corbyn to Hitler. Perhaps had the media not done a hitjob on the labour leader, there might have been a more compassionate and "more effective" border control.

Lineker raises two important points to which nobody can say how he is wrong . How he was wrong on the facts? And how the government rhetoric is not unlike that of 1930's Germany? Instead all you GB Bees want to talk is about anything but the essential issues: you want to talk about his taxes, him being a "knee-bender", a “telescopic philanthropist”, AN OVER HYPED BURK ( sic ), a crisp wanker (a funny glean on an unfunny comment). What the hell is wrong with having a shred of humanity? Is it too Woke to think that people should be treated humanely and treated with dignity and justice?
