@Will46666 Apart from opinion and conjecture, the one tangible benefit you cite is that the UK can set its own interest rates. The UK's base rate is set by the Bank of England, as it has done so since 1694, that is a good 294 years before the UK joined the EEC. So once again, ONE tangible benefit .

@Will46666 The UK was not even in the Eurozone!! So this cannot possibly be a benefit of Brexit, can it? And anyway, what tangible benefits does having interest rates set by the BoE in London rather than the ECB on Frankfurt? Presently, Eurozone interest rates are lower than in the UK, which is the highest since 2007. Also, what evidence do you have for the Eurozone being finished? As for interests rate determining the price of everything ; it is supply and demand that also comes into price. What has had a tremendous impact on supply is the barriers to trade that the UK imposed on itself, thereby increasing the price and cost of products, and so the inflationary pressures. In short, Brexit contributes to inflation. The Brexit benefits can be seen in the Republic of Ireland! Finally, interest rates set by the ECB is not linked to the German economy. And how does this cripple weaker EU economies? Your claims are unsubstantiated; you state these as facts rather than what they really are: just opinions or conjecture. Still waiting for one tangible benefit !!

You have "many other", so you could have at least included one we could all see, such as the promise of cheaper food, clothing, and footwear. But then, where is the evidence for this? As for the EU that seeks to control the lives of the citizens of its member nations . Isn't the control of the UK government even more insidious than anything the EU has introduced? The EU is committed to environmental, and food standards. The UK government, on the other hand, is lobbied by Conservative Party donors promoting disaster capitalism and are intent on eroding your civil liberties and workers’ rights on the premise that deregulation is a good thing like "freedom" and "sovereignty". Persuading working people to vote against their economic interests is the whole basis of economic liberty.

Starmer and Benn were frontbench members of HM Official Opposition: their job is in the name: to provide opposition to the government . John Bercow considered Johnson’s attempt to prorogue parliament to be a "constitutional outrage". And to correct you, it was this rotten Parliament that the deal was past, on 20th December 2019 (353 Ayes, 243 Noes). It would be good to get your facts right!

@anonnemo2504 You haven't actually given any tangible benefits, such as increase in net imports or exports, lower food prices, bigger and better trade deals, lower unemployment, more foreign investment, lower net migration, and increased productivity as a direct result of exiting the EU. Give it your best shot!! Instead, all there is is EU controls and it will colapse!

@Will46666 My implied point was that it was considered by fascists. But just as "libertarian" was stolen from the socialist movement by the right, so was "socialism". I am not a fascist, and do not accept their appropriation. It is cultural and historical hijacking. You can accept the fascist interpretation of history, but is is a distortion of the labour movement's struggles.

@anonnemo2504 Apart from having an unelected Head of State, the UK parliament is around 70 percent unelected representatives (currently 785 members in the House of Lords; 650 elected to the Commons), which accounts for more unelected representatives than any other country, including China, and – of course – the EU.

@eddiecalderone No immigrant is “illegal”; they can be “undocumented”. You and Farage’s use of the term is to dehumanise them. Migrants fleeing persecution can claim refugee status. By international law, to have refugee status, you must have left your country and be unable to go back because you fear persecution. By UK law, refugees should apply when they arrive in the UK or as soon as they think it would be unsafe for them to return to their own country.

Out of 1,438, only 650 are elected, which means that only 45 percent of representatives are elected. The Tories now have a working majority of 55 in the Commons, and 100 in the Lords. How is that democratic? What is more, since you voted to Leave the “undemocr@tic” EU, successive PMs have ennobled 171 Life Peers (including 30 from Truss, which works out an average of 223 per year!). Compare this to 705 MEP voted for by PR, and 27 Commissioners voted for by the 705 MEPs (100 percent elected). The UK is the only parliamentary system in Europe, apart from Belarus, which uses FPTP. The Tories got 365 seat (56% of the seats) with just 43.6% share of the vote, whereas Labour got 202 (31% of the seats) with 32.1% of the vote. When Brexit Party won the 2019 election to the European Parliament, which uses PR, it won 29 seats, three times more than all the MEPs for Slovakia. And it is BP who were complaining of how undemocratic it is! The Vote Leave statement: "L3aving the EU is a great opportunity for us to take b@ck control of our borders, our economy and our democracy” has a hollow ring to it! Gove and Johnson were the ones that promised that Br3xit would make you much better off. Has it taken b@ck control of bord3rs? Has it taken back control of our democracy? It seems to me that the right-wing lib3rt@rian billion@ires funding news channels and think t@nks are using the @nger and @lienation of working class @uthoritarians.
