It seems would fall for the lies of the grifters: that it was the Blair government that was the beginning of “open borders”. OK, I am very far from being a Blair fan. However, I take issue with liars and those lied to. Remember that by 2016 the Tories had been in government six years. To put that in perspective, the same length of time that from 1945-51 the Atlee government nationalised about 20% of the economy, including coal, railways, road transport, the Bank of England, civil aviation, electricity and gas, and steel, and established the NHS. But the Cameron government could not even change the immigration laws in those six years. If you are saying “we couldn’t because the EU wouldn’t let us”, you are repeating the lies of your favourite grifters: Farage, Johnson, J. R–M, etc.*Every EU country is sovereign and can establish its own immigration laws* . Yes, there is freedom of movement, but every country establishes the parameters of restrictions. The UK was far more relaxed with its immigrations laws than Belgium was and is now. After the accession of the central-eastern European countries in 2004, the Blair government immediately lifted visa controls – as a post-1989 promise to integrate these European countries. But Austria did not. Many other EU countries did not. The problem is that the grifters encourage you to see the EU much like we were encouraged to see the “Eastern bloc” during the Cold War as a homogenous mass of corruption and anti-democratic institutions. The problem is that people that think like you: that fall for the lies and grifts of the right are seen as much like those whose minds were shaped by the ideology of state communism in the Soviet Union, and the Eastern bloc, and national socialism in Germany in the 1930’s and 1940’s. Did you think people fools during the Cold War era for falling for an obvious corrupt system? That is how many people saw Trump supporters and how they see many Brexitists that block out the reality in the way you block out the sun when temperatures soar.

It is the reason GB News was set up: to split working people to make British working class weaker, whilst leaving the real corrupt disaster capitalists to clean and and make even more profit. Set people against refugees, welfare recipients, the mythical "Establishment", whilst GB News news agenda is presented by Establishment figures. GB News also supports corruption, or at least does not challenge it rgorously if it is right-wing corruption, and it supports sexual exploitation if the allegations are correct, due to failure to investigate these serious allegations. GB News: where cruelty and viciousness finds a home! It's about time that people realised that their enemy is not the person coming over on dinghies, but the poshoes and the "real bloke" Tory MPs that talk like NF thugs.

  10.  @echo21bravo  Do you knoiw the difference between "I demand" and "the question demands" since unstantiated claims are the stock in trade of conspiracists. More of the same here. And since when does "barge" have a negative connotation? Many are attracted by these on the Norfolk Broads.

  11.  @LouiseMarron-z1i  Well by withdrawing from the EU the UK also withdrew from the Dublin Accord (2002), so an international agreement had to be made with France. As a border has two sides, France is a sovereign country that is protecting its border. The UK has also continually refused to set up processing centres in France that would prevent the need to cross the channel. It's almost as if the Tory government want people to be angry. This government is like the arsonist that comes round to your burning house and offers help.
