  1. The problem is that the same people who say we should look after "our people" first also lack the compassion for the homeless. Just as they demonise the refugees, they also label the homeless as drug addicts, feckless, and undeserving. Wake up and what? Be angrier, vote for reactionary hard-right parties, demonise the vulnerable in society?
