Absolutely agree that the system is deeply corrupt and beyond repair. The question is, what kind of new system do we need? A lot of people talk about change, but without addressing the root causes – like how wealth and power are concentrated under capitalism – we risk replacing one flawed system with another. We need a system that prioritises equality, collective ownership, and the well-being of people and the planet over profits. What kind of system do you think could achieve that?

It’s crucial to address the full scope of exploitation and not focus narrowly on one aspect. While grooming gangs are horrific and must be condemned, Byline Times' investigation reveals that far-right groups are also exploiting these survivors for their own agendas. These groups manipulate victims to push anti-Muslim narratives, ignoring that child sexual abuse happens across all communities. Survivors have described being groomed again – this time by extremists who use their trauma as a tool for division. Let’s hold all abusers and exploiters accountable, not just the ones that fit a specific narrative .

@carolherbert1042 Explain!

@carolherbert1042 Byline Times conducted a five-month investigation into how far-right groups have exploited survivors of child sexual exploitation (CSE) in towns like Rochdale, Telford, and Rotherham. The investigation revealed that these groups, under the guise of offering support, have manipulated survivors to further anti-Muslim agenda. By all means call it BS, but at least have the decency to explain you reasoning or evidence to the contary!

Do you have evidence to support your claim?

@Karl-d6s The government can't keep ordering new inquiries without acting on the recommendations from previous ones. Another inquiry could take years, and by then, a new government could come in and fail to act on that one too. It's not about more reports; it's about the political will to implement the changes already identified. The real issue is accountability – why hadn’t the previous Tory government taken action on the findings from the last inquiry to protect children? The focus should be on immediate, tangible change rather than more delay. The 2020 Home Office report found that the majority of group-based CSE offenders in the UK are white, reflecting the country's demographics – approximately 80%, based on available data. While some studies suggest overrepresentation of Asian offenders relative to their population size, the report highlights that data quality issues and biases in recording make definitive conclusions difficult. It's vital to focus on protecting victims and tackling systemic issues rather than reducing this complex problem to ethnicity.

Will you be partying like it's Germany 1933?

@Jane-h5x I'm questioning whether the chaos they're predicting will lead to dangerous celebrations of authoritarianism, like in Germany's rise to power in 1933.

@billyholland5618 Since you care about what the victims think, it’s worth noting that last year, a victim of asked Tice to use his platform to bring attention to the issue. She claimed that Tice “couldn’t give a sh!t!” Opportunists! Your leaders are opportunists, ready to profit and gain political capital from those who don’t critically assess the situation. Moreover, a five-month investigation by Byline Times uncovered how far-right groups have exploited survivors of CSE in towns like Rochdale, Telford, and Rotherham. These groups, under the pretense of offering support, have manipulated survivors to advance anti-Muslim agendas.

@billyholland5618 Since you care about what the victims think, it’s worth noting that last year, a victim reportedly asked Tice to use his platform to highlight their struggle. She even claimed he “couldn’t give a sh!t!” Opportunists like him – and others in leadership – seem more interested in profiting off outrage and gaining political capital than genuinely addressing injustice. It's always worth critically assessing who’s truly advocating for change versus who’s exploiting pain for their own gain.

@Whoami691 Look up the word in the dictionary. What is authoritariansim? Why would you term Labour this, and not "your lot"? Anyway, I didn't vote or support Labour, nor did I cheer.

There are some of you who are only concerned with the ethnicity of the perpetrators, and not the girls.

@Whoami691 I guess you and nuance are strangers, aren't you? I don't look to the far-right for perspective!

@Whoami691 Calling Starmer “authoritarian” overlooks the fact that the Police, Sentencing and Courts Act and the Public Order Act 2023 were introduced by the previous Tory government, not Labour. Sentencing disparities between environmental protesters and far-right rioters stem from several factors: courts treat disruption to infrastructure (like blocking roads) more severely due to economic impact, while far-right violence is often seen as localised. Political and judicial bias may also play a role, with harsher penalties aimed at deterring environmental activism, seen as challenging powerful interests. It’s more complex than just blaming one leader or party. This also ignores the context of recent events like the Southport tragedy, where people were imprisoned not for “hurty words” but for inciting violence, including calls for deaths, after far-right groups spread false claims about the crime. This misinformation led to riots, with courts sentencing dozens for their roles in the unrest. The Labour government plans to strengthen online hate laws to combat such incitement. Protecting public safety from extremist exploitation isn’t authoritarian – it’s necessary.

@Whoami691 What am I?

@Whoami691 You far-right people are so demanding, like little children. Some people have to sleep!
