It is laughable that someone so active does not understand a simple things like "third country" status that the UK voted on as a member, to protect a trading bloc. It is quite simple: You want frictionless trade with the EU? Then you have to have regulatory alignment . You want regulatory freedom? Then you can't have frictionless trade with the EU . You have have had a Brexit government since 2019, but to continue you must stick with you decision to leave or re-negotiate the "oven ready" deal in the next round in 2024.
