This reads like someone who has been watching a lot of right-wing youtube videos rather than actually reading Gramsci, Adorno & Horkheimer etc. What evidence do you have to support your claims about Gramsci, the Frankfurt School, and Progressive politics, and how does this compare to historical sources on these topics ? If Marxist and progressive ideas were supposedly so dominant in education and culture, why have capitalist economies and conservative political movements continued to thrive ?

Paulo Freire was born about 40 years before Marx was born. His ideas challenge an education system that keeps power in the hands of elites. His approach – teaching critical thinking and encouraging dialogue – aims to make education accessible to everyone, not just the privileged. If you oppose that, you’re essentially defending an education system where only the wealthy or powerful benefit. Ironically, the real “indoctrination” comes from keeping people passive and uncritical, not from teaching them to think for themselves.

@daheikkinen I know, I have read enough of both to know that, and that Freire could've have been a "big buddy" of Marx. Anyway, this was not my main point, which was Freire's approach to education seeks to empower all individuals by promoting critical thinking and dialogue, challenging an elitist system that keeps power in the hands of the privileged. In what ways does the current education system reinforce or challenge existing power structures, and how can we create a more inclusive approach to education that fosters critical thinking for all learners ?

@ I can tell you that one man's active learning and critical thinking is another man's "ideological conditioning". As I said earlier, the real “indoctrination” comes from keeping people passive and uncritical, not from teaching them to think for themselves .
