What has Nigel got against arts and humanities degree? It's almost as if he hates culture in general, and British culture in particular!

@DS9TREK Arts and humanities degrees are essential for the UK's cultural and economic vitality. They preserve our heritage, foster creativity, and enhance critical thinking. These fields support creative industries, boost tourism, and promote social justice and ethical reasoning. They also enrich personal development and global understanding. Far from being unnecessary, arts and humanities are foundational to a thriving, informed, and culturally rich society.

📚 Reform UK’s Education Policy aims to foster pride in Britain and equip young people with essential skills and values. But we need to ensure these reforms truly promote equality and universal access to education. Here's why: ❌ Cutting Funding to Universities over perceived biases threatens academic freedom and free speech. Universities should be hubs of diverse opinions and robust debates, not echo chambers. ❌ Tax Relief for Independent Schools exacerbates educational inequality. Let's invest in our state schools so every child, regardless of background, gets a fair shot at success. ✅We need an education system that values critical thinking , embraces diversity, and champions free speech. Together, let's build a future where all young people have the opportunity to thrive! 🌍✊ Let's advocate for an education system that unites, rather than divides!

@DS9TREK Aren't you going to explain why?

Maybe if you had a better education, you would have had the tools like reasoning, critical thinking, and writing skills to explain your claim.

@megadesu69 What degree did you get? A STEM subject? Was it a Russell Group university?

I presume you have no degree. So without the critical thinking skills you would not have considered the unintended consequence of free medical and STEM courses: that it will lead to a glut of engineers and mathematicians, and a lack of artists and philosophers, and so you will get mathematicians preparing your frappuccino in Starbucks.
