  1. Alexandra Phillips, as a former MEP should know that the UK had an opt-out on EU immigration policy. Why didn't you use it? It seems you want immigration to fail, so as to blame the EU and foreigners. The UK and Ireland choose, on a case-by-case basis, whether or not to adopt EU rules on immigration, visa and asylum policies . (now only Ireland) It is on the EU immigration portal (unable to post links)
