  5.  @antoniopalmero4063  I can't help but feel sorry for those like you who put their faith in the Brexit Party and Reform UK, thinking these populist movements would solve deep-rooted issues. It's easy to buy into the idea that getting rid of "spineless leaders" and blaming others - like asylum seekers or the EU - will fix everything. But these problems are much more complex than populism suggests. The simple answers they offer don’t address the real causes, and often, they just shift the blame without taking responsibility for the failures at home. I just hope more people start seeing through the oversimplifications before it's too late.

Neither leader is without their flaws, but Farage's populism risks undermining the UK's need for well-rounded, practical leadership.

Using the Navy to force boats back isn't straightforward - it would violate international conventions like the SAR (Search and Rescue), which obligates us to help people in distress at sea, not force them away. We also need to respect the sovereignty of France and avoid creating exclusion zones that would breach international waters agreements. Instead, we should focus on cooperation with our neighbours, improving legal pathways for immigration, and ensuring our naval resources are used to support humanitarian efforts while safeguarding our borders within the limits of the law.
