Leaders like Hitler, Stalin, and Mao Zedong targeted groups they saw as “drains” on society, justifying harsh policies through dehumanising rhetoric. Labeling groups as “parasites” has often led to division, scapegoating, and even oppression. Words have power, and history shows that this language can have real-world consequences. Is this a fair comment on benefit claimants? Or a damaging, divisive narrative?
