@avalerie4467 Didn't you read the original comment? The chap's mother "fought" - she was a combatant in WW2. How many woman fought in the British forces in WW2? There was special forces, and there was the Royal Artillery searchligh regiment. Apart from that most women were non-combatant, such as auxiliaries including the "land girls".
